In Paderborn, the St. Michael's schools are being expanded in the immediate vicinity of the cathedral. In addition to a new elementary school building, a column-free gymnasium is being erected, the roof of which will be used as a green playground.
Difficult foundation conditions in the sensitive Paderquell area as well as the dynamically stressed, highly loaded roof structure of the sports hall are the special challenges of this building project.
