Site expansion for pre-assembly of helicopter airframes

Airbus is constructing a new industrial building at its Donauwörth site for the production of helicopter airframes based on the Major Component Assembly (MCA) concept. As a subcontractor to the general planner, architect and factory planner METROPLAN we are responsible for the integrated planning of the central technical disciplines. Together, we are supporting the project through to the building permit and the award of the construction contract to a general contractor. The energy for conditioning the hall is largely generated from thermally activated bored piles and process heat. The work processes place high demands on temperature and humidity, which must be maintained by the technical equipment.
